Countdown to Oblivion

President Obama will not agree to the repeal of Obamacare , defunding of Planned Parenthood , or the rest of the 14 trillion dollars worth of entitlement cuts proposed by Congressman Paul Ryan . Therefore , the government will shut down. It is as inevitable as the sun coming up in the morning. Democrats believe that all these entitlement programs are necessary , and cannot be cut . For, if they are , Grandmothers will starve and become homeless , children will go hungry and uneducated , and sick people will be dying in the streets. What are we , as Americans truly entitled to?Nothing. We are entitled to nothing; except the freedom and liberty that we were born with , and our forefathers fought and died to protect. Therefore , yes, I want seniors , children , and sick people , all in the streets  together, starving, dying , , uneducated , and stricken with disease. But, while they lay in the street , I want them to remember , that freedom ain't free. Freedom comes at a cost . And , that cost is ; responsibility. Responsibility , for your own life , your own health, your own career, your own welfare. All this is your own individual responsibility; not the government's. The government can't even take care of itself. It gets its money from taxpaying Americans that work for a living , and they are tired of seeing their money go to people that didn't earn it.People, whose only value to the government is the fact that they will show up to the polls and vote Democrat ; every time. That's all this is about. All it ever was. You were born in America . You were born into freedom. With that one gift, you have more than 99.9% of other humans have that live in other, less free , nations. Stop begging for government handouts . All the things you need can be obtained in the Free Market System , that makes our country great. The free ride on the backs of hardworking taxpayers is over. The money you earn is yours. Not the governments , not the unions , not the public sector employees . Yours. You earned it . Your taxes were designed to be used to fund our military , to protect our nation , and our freedom , and that is all. If , however, there are still those who need a handout , look no further than the private sector . The American people have always been the most generous and charitable on earth . Depend on their generosity, because House Speaker John Boener and our new congress has a job to do for the people who elected them , and they will do it. They will repeal Obamacare , and all other entitlements. that we are , in reality , not entitled to , and only serve to weaken our nation , grow the government , and move us closer to becoming the socialist system of government that President  Obama and Senator Reid dream of.  Well , now , the dream is over. Now begins the nightmare. And, isn't it curiously ironic , as the countdown to oblivian continues , and the hour of government shutdown looms ever closer , that the man calling himself  commander in  chief of the Armed Forces , can think of nothing , no entitlement program , that he wants to cut , except  , of course, our soldiers paychecks , the paychecks that help fund our freedom , and keep our nation secure. As the countdown to oblivian continues , President Obama will steadfastly continue, with his sole mission ; to grow government , while shrinking a once prosperous , and free, America.

The Prime Directive

Congratulations to President Obama , you have learned well . No congressional approval, no public notice, and, he bombed Qaddafi's Golden fist tent. You have done your teacher President Bush proud. And, now, Obama has validated the Iraq war . By stating that the Libyan strike was for "humanitarian " reasons to prevent a slaughter of the rebels by Qaddafi, he has admitted that the war against Saddam Hussein , who slaughtered thousands of his Kurdish citizens , was also justified for 'humanitarian " reasons. Now, should we proceed to Syria? Of course . Syria has long been a major sponsor of terror in the middle east. We need not Nation build , but just be a constant presence that will give evil and tyranny pause ; at it's baser moments. You see ,. freedom is contagious. Now , all across the middle east , rebellions are brewing .These rebels have seen the freedom brought to Iraq and Afghanistan , and now that they know it's possible, they want it too. And, they are willing to fight for it, because they know , that in a fight for freedom against tyranny , they can count on America to back them . However, there is a one problem ; ....what if the rebels that we aid turn out to be members of Al-Queda , or , even the Muslim brotherhood? Should we aid one terror organization against the other? No, and this is why; ....we must not nation build. To prevent mass slaughter of citizens is one thing, and it 's our moral duty to do so, if it's possible and in our country's interest , but we must only promote freedom , not create it. In the long term however, how can mass slaughter be stopped? Balance of Power is the answer . If both sides are armed equally , there is a stalemate . Even if both sides are steeped in terror , they are checked , due to a balance in power . We must provide that balance of power , when necessary . While , at the same time, always remembering not to involve ourselves directly . We back Israel with our military might , because it is in our nations interest to help a fellow democratic Republic , that is surrounded by enemies that, wouls surely destroy them , if not for our support . Ultimately, we must use what Star Trek called the "Prime Directive" ,; a policy of non-interference by Star Fleet with other planet's affairs . However, Kirk  and crew violated this directive regularly  on the show , when it became clear that the planet's culture was not a growing , free , prosperous culture , and was instead a planet of enslaved beings ruled by either a tyrannical alien life force , or some sinister machine.  The United States must have it's own prime directive of non- interference , but , like Star Fleet , it can only apply when there is a balance of power between good and evil , and if not , we must use our wisdom , skill, and military power , to help create that balance . President Obama's motives in Libya may , in fact be motivated by the countries oil; supply, and nothing more. A valid reason , since the free world and beyond does , in fact, run on oil , despite what green energy proponents want to believe. But, if we make the decision to use military power , it must be always motivated by a need to promote freedom ,not for profit. However, we must alweays remember ; we cannot grant freedom to other nations , it must be earned. For freedom to work , it must be fought for , struggled for ,. and , you must be willing to die for it. If not , freedom gained without effort is freedom that will be taken for granted , and will surely not last very long.

Operation: Avenging Angel!!

He should have got Congressional approval; but he didn't. He should have informed the American people,....he didn't. He should have realized that armed attacks , on another country , is, in effect, a declaration of war. He didn't. And, the mission was a sucess . Qaddafi was poised to slaughter the Libyan rebels as his forces advanced on them and prepared to strike.But, thanks to intervention from the heavens themselves, in the form of American , French , and British jet fighters , the slaughter was averted. And, as a bonus , we hit Qaddafi's compound , like Reagan did , and rammed that golden fist down this tyrant's throat. Paybacks , apparently , for Lockerbie, are a bitch , and are only just getting started. Yes, President Obama has done this completely wrong. Yet, it felt right. Why? Because , it is our job , our responsibility, to protect the innocent when we can , where we can , . For, if not , all our power,  all our claims of freedom , are a lie. We cannot be the world police, or nation build, but, we can be , like the hand of God, an avenging angel , that steps in at mankind's most evil , most outrageous inhumanities , and , as Hamlet said, "By opposing, End them". But for every humanitarian action, there are military consequences , and political fall out. Strength and resolve is the answer . No fly zones are effective, but only if they are sustained and therefore , show the Libyan Dictator  that, there will be no end, no escape, from our unending attacks. President Obama may, in fact, have no real plan, no real strategy , no real motive, beyond the simple fact that ; ...this was easy. Qaddafi is isolated , and not well liked, even in the Islamic terror community. , and therefore, an easy , isolated target for our attacks. Obama may, in fact, have been merely flexing his commander -in-chief  muscles, in an ego driven , Clinton -like attempt to re-affirm his political and military power , ...at least, in his own mind. Clinton had his Iraqi aspirin factory bombing during Lewinsky. Obama has his Golden fist bombing during the seige on Obamacare. . Whatever his motives , this much is certain; The President's true, sole power as president is, in fact, as commander in chief of the armed forces, and , with this great power , must come ,...great responsibility. Yes, like the avenging angel that stopped Abraham from killing his son, we , as a Nation , must be there, and ready, to avert disasters and promote freedom around the globe. Not by prolonged wars , with multiple nations , but by stepping in at the right time, to stop the enemies of freedom , at their most inhuman , most evil , moments, ....and strike for freedom. Caine, after slaying his brother Abel, asked of God, "Am I my brother's keeper?" The question still lingers to this day ; the answer now lies with us; the United States. The last , best, and only hope , for a world in chaos ; the only true beacon for promoting freedom , justice and liberty around this globe that , we all must share. Always remember , the botton line is this; The United States has brought freedom and liberty to billions of people around the globe . Is now the time to ask; ...like Caine, ....'Am I my brother's keeper?" Free Nations do not go to war with each other . Therefore, our goal must always be to bring freedom to all those that seek it, and , by so doing , bring about the lasting peace that can only happen , .....when all men live free.

The Children of the Atom

No riots, no looting, no violence whatsoever. They wait in line patiently for food, water and supplies. They wait patiently , not hysterically, for help. And, they do not blame their government, or their President, for their dilemma. They are the Japanese people , and they have displayed remarkable calm and dignity in the wake of the worst disaster to hit their nation since Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  How? How can they remain so calm , so accepting , as their world crumbles around them? Family is the answer. Family is the root of the Japanese culture . Family is everything to them. There are no retirement homes in Japan. Senior citizens are regarded as almost sacred , and , the most valued member of the household. It's this strong sense of roots , of values , of what is truly important , that gives these people the courage , strength , and resolve, to carry them through the worst disasters ; with an almost monastic -like calm. Yes, these children of the Atom , whose main power source is nuclear , who lead the world in technological advances , who seem absorbed in a techno- robotic , electronic superficial , materialistic existence, understand that three things; Faith , Family , and Freedom , are all there is , all that matters in life, ultimately. Yes, these Children of the Atom  learned , after Hiroshima, how precious life is , and , how fleeting the material world is. Its a lesson Japan never forgot. Now, like us , individual freedom and self rule is the root of their society , and their government. Their faith comes from a religion that is based on peace , love , and harmony with nature. Their faith , like ours , is what roots them to their families , for, where better to express love than with family? In the midst of Tsunami, earthquake, and nuclear meltdown ,the Japanese people are, in many ways , showing the world the true meaning of the phrase , "grace under pressure". Hopefully, the world will take notice , and learn to emulate these people  who , seemingly , fear nothing ,; ... not even the power of the Atom . Faith , Family , and Freedom , are the roots of their strength , .... just like us . Yes , the United States , who once dropped two nuclear bombs on their cities  in a desperate attempt to end a war that, at the time , seemed endless, now stands as a partner in freedom around the globe , with the Children of the Atom.

Island on the Edge of Eternity

President Bush was right . About everything related to the war on terror. Including holding enemy combatants at Gitmo Bay. They are military prisoners , caught on the battlefield , behind enemy lines. Therefore, they must be held and tried in a Military facility , away from our own shores. But , don't take President Bush's word for it . Just ask President Obama. His promise to close Gitmo was made by an inexperienced Senator who truly did not understand the nature of the threat. Yet, now he knows. He admits he was wrong , begrudgingly, about everything. He now brags about the sucess of the surge in Iraq. Brags about the sucess of Drone attacks in Afghanistan . And , has not only kept Gitmo Bay open , but has stated that he should have the power to hold enemy combatants there ,"indefinitely". Yes , just imagine, an Island of eternal prisiners . Now, faced with a new challenge in the form of Libyan Dictator Momar Qaddafi, the President has already threatened military action , albiet , reluctantly . Obama now realizes the true nature of his job. He is Commander -in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States; like it or not. And more importantly, he has faced the most important revelation of his young Presidency . He now knows that ,George W. Bush , the man who stood for everything he opposes, was right all along. And, as Congressman Peter King begins his hearings on the Muslim Extremist threat, perhaps the testimony given there will finally cement in President Obama's mind the fact that we are not being attacked by 'isolated " Extremists, but, by a far greater threat called Radical Islam , that exists for one purpose , and one purpose alone; to destroy all non-believers in the teachings of the Prophet Muhammed . They are , according to the Koran, , infidels , and, therefore , deserving of death. Hopefully, these hearings will finally expose this fact to the light of day, and help President Obama to face thios grim reality, before its too late. And, as we wait to see the outcome of these hearings ; all the while, the Island will be there taunting, mocking, a symbol of the Presidents capitulation; it's prisoners to be held , on the edge of eternity , by the will of Obama.

The War in Wisconsin

Well, the verdict is in. Governor Walker has signed the bill that takes away public unions rights to collective bargaining , while union backed public sector teachers , are carried , kicking and screaming , like whining , spoiled children , from the Wisconsin Rotundra by police. Look , here's all you need to know about the public union controlled protestors in Wisconsin. They are entitled to nothing. Public sector workers are employed by the government. The government gets its money from the taxpayers , who work in the private sectorfree market. The public sector workers pay then goes to the public sector union bosses, in the form of mandatory union dues. The dues are then given to the government , which uses the now laundered money to fund Democrat party elections. The taxpayers , therefore, are being forced , by the government, to pay the salaries of teachers and, at the same time, fund the Democrat Party, against their will, in a government controlled Ponzi scheme. The bottom line is this; if you work for the public sector , every dollar you earn is a dollar out of the free market economy, and a dollar in the pocket of the Democrat Party. You have no right to collective bargaining, because your emplyment is no bargain , for our economy or the taxpaying Americans that fund you. You want endless raises and tenure?Work for the private sector. You know, the sector that is actually benefit to our economy, instead of a detriment. . Governor Scott Wlker has one task to perforn now and that is this; fire all public sector workers that continue to picket the Rotundo . Let these teachers join the real world , and get a real job, in a real , free market economy, with real , free market competition. Let Wisconsin be the death knell for public sector jobs , and unions as well. They are parasites that leech from our taxdollars and  return nothing . This is Un- Constitutional and Anti-American. Always remember, according to the Constitution, public sector jobs are reserved for those occupations that are related to the security of our nation , and that is all . We need to end this free ride, Democrat funded Ponzi scheme called the Public Sector, and leave the so-called 'bargaining rights' , to those that deserve them . Namely, the private sector workers , that actually contribute to the growth of our economy, not its destruction.

The Achilles Doctrine

Momar Qaddafi says he will fight to the last man , even as his forces launch a major counterattack on the out manned and out gunned Libyan rebels. Yet, there was a time when Qaddafi was not quite so bold , not quite so sure , a time when he willingly relinquished his nuclear weapons , a time when Bush was President . President Bush understood the basic nature of evil.To defeat it; you must confront it strongly, with force as always the option. President Obama and the left have always made one fatal mistake in dealing with evil .Appeasement, they believe, is the answer. Confrontation , in the form of the Bush Doctrine, will only make them angrier and more determined to treat the U.S. as the enemy. On this issue in particular, they have been , and always will be, fatally and dangerously wrong. As Bush knew, there is only one thing that evil understands ; force, pure naked power , and the willingness to use it, if necessary. When confronted by the qualities of courage and strength; evil always backs down and destroys itself.For, you see, in man's psyche, it is courage and strength that are part of man's good side, .Evil is; and always was , by nature, a coward. That is its fatal flaw, its achilles heel , if you will. The left, however, does not believe that evil really exists , so therefore reason and compromise , they feel, will win the day. They are wrong. Even President Obama has partially seen the light on this issue recently. Indeed, when the Libyan rebels called for help from former President Bush , and not President Obama , it had to be a blow to tyhe President's ego and pride. He now realizes that , the Bush Doctrine, the doctrine he opposed when he was a mere Senator, the doctrine that recognizes the Achilles Heel , in evil , is the right way, after all. You see, the middle eastern terror regimes , for all their hatred of Bush, still respect him , and his strength of will, and resolve. They know, that when Bush says he will do something, he will do it .  President Obama , now has begun to use Bush rhetoric ; threatening no-fly zones , sanctions, and yes , even military force, if necessary, against Qaddafi and his military. He realizes now; he has to. He is , after all , like it or not, Commander in Chief of the Armed forces of the United States, the most powerful force for freedom in the world. Obama will , finally embrace the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive strike ; the Achilles doctrine that recognizes the fatal flaw in evil ; it's lack of strength and courage, when confronted by the forces of good , the forces that fight for freedom ,the forces of the United States Military , the finest fighting forces  ever assembled by man.
